Hublot Classic Fusion Veuve Clicquot

Among Hublot’s many partnerships and sponsorships is its role as official timekeeper and scoreboard sponsor of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Hublot and French champagne house Veuve Clicquot unveiled their latest collaboration, the Classic Fusion Veuve Clicquot. The watch marks the 10th anniversary of Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, which took place on June 3, where Hublot served as the official timekeeper and scoreboard sponsor.

Swiss replica Hublot has a long-standing history of supporting polo across the world, including Polo Gold Cup Gstaad, Ascona, which for four years served as Headline Sponsor and Official Timekeeper, Sotogrande Polo Tournament, Cortina Winter Polo Cup, and more. The brand’s continued partnership with this elite equestrian event is the perfect synthesis between sport and tradition, reinforcing Hublot’s Art of Fusion creative concept.

“It has been an honor to be a part of this amazing Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event since the very beginning. My passion has always been to make polo a more mainstream and accessible sport and it is great to have the support of partners like Hublot to help bring new offerings to the experience. The 10th anniversary celebration will be one to remember!”, said Nacho Figueras, Captain of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Team.

Sporting Hublot’s HUB1155 caliber and a skeletonized sapphire dial, and rendered in satin-finished and polished black ceramic, the 45mm watch now retails at $17,700 in a limited run of only 10 pieces at Hublot Fifth Avenue Boutique. The caseback is engraved with “SPECIAL EDITION” and the watch’s limited-edition number, 1 through 10. It also features a sapphire window through which to view the movement, Hublot’s automatic Caliber HUB1155, which powers the watch’s timekeeping functions, as well as a date indication and a chronograph.

With 60 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), a power reserve of 42 hours, the movement is distinguished by its winding rotor with the silhouette of a polo player on his horse. The clear sapphire dial has polished rhodium-plated hour appliqués and hands, while the prominent, yellow-orange-lacquered central chronograph seconds hand is this special edition’s shout-out to Veuve Clicquot’s legendary Brut Yellow Label Champagne. All in all,  a particularly tasteful collaboration, the black ceramic-cased chronograph will be sold with both a black rubber strap and Veuve Clicquot Orange alligator strap to match its contrasting orange central-seconds hand.
